Choosing Courage over Comfort

When was the last time you were deliberately uncomfortable?

Recently, I took on a food challenge that made me immensely uncomfortable. In the throws of my discomfort, I was paying attention to my thoughts and stories my mind was telling me; like “you deserve that cupcake” or “you don’t need to feel this uncomfortable”.

While I appreciated my mind trying to comfort me, I realized these stories were holding me back from a stronger version of myself. A version that has discipline and can delay gratification to reach my goals.

But it was the business parallels that created the biggest eye openers for me. I had to face what I was truly committed too, and and what I wasn’t. I saw how my everyday habits showed me the truth about my commitment. And what I can do about it.

Check out this week’s episode to learn:

  • Why I intentionally create moments of discomfort

  • How to shift your mindset in the midst of this challenge

  • And what this all has to do with being a better leader and business owner
