BEFORE YOU SET GOALS

Everyone loves goal setting, but most neglect to do this very important step first. The problem with jumping straight into creating goals is that each goal is not tied to a greater purpose.

For example, you set a goal to increase profits by 10% in a year. Cool. But why?

Why is that goal important? What does achieving that goal create for your life that you don’t have now? What are you willing to say “no” to in order to achieve that goal?

“If you don’t have a vision, then any path will do.”

Most people don’t ask themselves the questions I listed above. Therefore, without a true vision tied to your purpose, you will veer off the path.

Create a clear, actionable vision in order to achieve your goals.

Here are 3 Steps that will help you create a clear vision:

1- Identify your revenue streams (or how you get paid)

2- Create your ideal weekly/monthly calendar for your life (i.e. how much you’re working, recreational activities, family time)

3- Make a vision board with pictures for a daily reminder of what you’re working towards
