Being vs. Doing

This time has been a little bit of a struggle for me. I’ve definitely found myself going towards bad habits lately. I have kept my phone in my room near my bed, which has led to a few hours of lost sleep, consumed content less mindfully, I have not been doing the things that I know make me the best version of myself. 

Because I'm not able to socialize or do other activities in the same way that I used to, these bad habits are the way that I've been coping with my stress or fulfilling other areas of my emotional needs - like socializing!

Even given our current context, it doesn't change the fact that, as people, we need some emotional contact, we need some social contact, we need these different areas of ourselves validated and fulfilled.

And when we’re not fulfilled,  we're not as resilient or disciplined. And then we start to see some of these bad habits popping up. 

These bad habits can make us feel bad and beat ourselves up. But that does not lead to fixing the problems that we have, right?
